GOODWILL TOWARD MEN
Holiday parties, Christmas trees, hot chocolate, and the spirit of generosity that seems to swell up in our society during the holiday season. There’s something about peace on earth and goodwill towards men that makes me think about other people a little more than usual.
Through December, we’re inviting everyone connected to Grace Family Church to participate in our annual Christmas Offering. This is the time of year where we put feet to our faith–where we show others the love of Jesus through our generosity. The idea is that as we buy gifts for other people, we want our largest, most extravagant gift to go to Jesus. We’ll use 100% of donations to this offering to fund the following projects.
On December 16, 2018, we will receive the Christmas Offering during the morning Gatherings. We’re encouraging everyone to come prepared to give on that day.
2019 GIVING GOALS
Each year we set goals that our Christmas Offering will facilitate. This year we have three distinct areas we want to improve and effect.
Because we believe in the NextGeneration, we are always investing. This past year we committed to building space for our Kids and Youth to feel comfortable and welcome. Now we want to take it to a new level with more and better seating in the elementary classroom, sweets and candy dispensing station to reward and reinforce discipleship in our kids, new tablets for self-check-in of our parents, and other items to bolster the teaching each Sunday.
Tech, Stage, Lighting
As digital media becomes a place of greater connection, we want to be on the frontlines. Our culture is insistent on consuming better and more digital content. We know that most of our visitors come to a service because they have first connected on social media and other digital means. As we move forward, we want to create an environment for better and more consistent content. We just need to upgrade a few pieces of our equipment.
10% to Local Charities
Every year we commit to giving away 10% of everything we collect in our Christmas Offering. This year we will give to local charities. We are determined to bless our community as we are blessed.
Your Giving Matters
Pray and believe with us as we commit this offering to the work of the Kingdom here in the Quad Cities.
